It all started when we stumbled onto this art exhibit that placed painted pianos around the city, for public use. When it was discovered that they would be coming to our town, I flipped out. Never did I ever think I'd get to actually be a part of it all. I just enjoyed the thought of playing random keys all over Downtown Fort Lauderdale, just for appreciation.
Luckily for me the first piano we were able to find was right out front of Rebecca Bradley's Office, Cadence. Her being the head coordinator of the entire exhibit and being completely awesome, approached us with all kinds of info, making sure we stayed involved in all the upcoming fun. Eventually we came up with the idea to feature the pianos in one of my upcoming photo shoots. And it's been magical ever since. I'm so grateful. I love my opportunities!
Now if you know anything about me, you know I'm a sucker for art that inspires other pieces of art. I've always cheated and used music to create scenes in my head. So shout out to Mariana's Trench for being so damn visual with their music. I listened to their album for an entire day straight. I knew it would help me find what I was looking for. So do yourself a favor and play the song Ever After if you're curious about what inspires and influences me, and what basically created this image concept. It will take the photograph to a whole new level for you, I promise.
